We may have a lovely theatre, but it still has limited wing space, and limited flies (just need more battens…. it’s only money, right?). Doing big-book musicals like TMM really take some creativity when dealing with a small budget and not a lot of room to fit it in.

Bright colors, wonky shapes and forced perspective was the direction I took with this. Not shown is the show curtain: rented drop that looked quite a lot like what I had already designed – how perfect! (Drop was from Charles H. Stewart – look at the skylines collection.)
