Measure for Measure

Written by William Shakespeare. Directed by Steven Beckingham. Sound Design by Dylan Jahnson, Costume Design by Elyse Grimaldi.

Transported to Virginia City, Nevada, the director’s vision fit perfectly with Shakespeare’s commentary on vices and hypocrisy, played out in a western town in a time when western communities were grappling with these very issues.

The show was in the the Black Box Studio Theatre, and the set was clad in cedar planks, aged and distressed “naturally” with vinegar and iron oxide (rust).
